In March 2018, Steve was contacted by David Haigh and was asked to submit a statement about Robert Dougans of Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner, in support of his case. This is that document.
It contains a list of deceitful and dishonest actions by that solicitor in his dealings with our own case.
Shortly after having submitted this statement, we received on the 11th of April the following threat by Robert Dougans: “I shall raise your engagement with Mr. Haigh in any further applications you seek to bring against Dr. Lewis and Mrs. Byng.”
He then sent us another email the next day with David Haigh’s court order. This is something that has nothing to do with us. In fact, David contacted his solicitor about Dougans’ behaviour and had this to say about it:
“He seems to think its threatening enough to be sense as “interfering with a witness” something that the police here have already accused Dougans off.”
We’d always planned on publishing this document, but now feel it important to chronicle Dougans’ unsolicited communications with us as well.
